It is estimated that over 8 million trees are being cut down annually to produce pencils that we use on a daily basis. Treewise wood free pencils are made from 100% recycled newspapers. Every 12.5 foot stack of recycled newspapers we use in the production of our pencils saves a 20 foot pine tree somewhere along the chain. The initiative aims to educate kids and provide them with the right pencils to pen their own impact and make a difference.
